SUNDAY – Mother’s Day Breakfast & Lunch

Enjoy a Mother’s Day breakfast or lunch at the Breakfast Club & Pub, a playful eatery featuring a 1980s vibe and John Hughes-movie-inspired menu for breakfast and lunch grub. 10% of sales will benefit Essential Health Clinic.

TUESDAY – Yoga in the Street w/ Root Down Yoga Studio

May 14, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
1201 Caledonia Street, La Crosse

Bring your yoga mat! Our partner, Root Down Yoga Studio, will be leading the hour-long class IN THE STREET. Please bring one toiletry item (deodorant, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) as admission. These donations will support the women at New Horizons in La Crosse County and Brighter Tomorrows in Monroe County who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault.

WEDNESDAY – Wine for Women’s Health

Unwind with us for our annual dinner event. Tickets are $40, which includes dinner and a glass of wine or soda. Sponsor a table of 8 for $400 and receive a reserved table, recognition at the table and an additional glass of wine or soda. Come for the wonderful company, stay for the auction, raffle prizes and door prizes and feel good about supporting local women. All proceeds benefit Essential Health Clinic.

We thought you might like to know a bit more about Essential Health Clinic and its good works throughout Western Wisconsin. EHC has been professionally and discreetly assisting people with their reproductive health concerns for over 40 years. Here are factual answers to a few of the inquiries often asked as people consider their involvement in our mission.

Is Essential Health Clinic (EHC) a part of Gundersen Health System?
No, Essential Health Clinic is a fully-independent 501 (c) (3) nonprofit entity.

Is Essential Health Clinic a “free” clinic?
While no one is refused services because of inability to pay, charges for services and contraceptive supplies are generally based on income and family size. Essential Health Clinic serves all people regardless of age, sex, income, marital status, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation and gender identity.

What types of services are available?
Annual health exams, breast and cervical cancer screenings, FDA-approved birth control methods, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, HIV testing, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing and counseling, education, and resources.

Does EHC bill to insurance?
Yes, Essential Health Clinic does bill to insurance. To help cover unpaid portions, eligible clients can be enrolled in a costcovering program even if they have insurance.
