Community Engagement

Essential Health Clinic’s educators provide age-appropriate, medically accurate and culturally competent comprehensive sexuality education to thousands of young adults, teens, parents and other adults of influence each year. This programming is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to make healthy decisions and set goals regarding their behaviors. Essential Health Clinic also participates in many community events, such as health fairs, to build awareness of and access to reproductive and sexual health.

For Teens

Reproductive Life Plan  helps you set goals in regards to having, or not having children, and guides you when making important life decisions. This booklet provides information to help you on your journey.

For Parents

Essential Health Clinic supports you in helping your child understand sexuality. Young people are better able to make healthy sexual decisions and build loving relationships when trusted adults approach their role as sex educators in a positive, affirming way. The Family Guided Sexuality Handbook is a tool for parents or other trusted adults which provides suggestions for talking about healthy sexuality with children of different ages.
